Each 7×7 pairs one visual artist with one writer for a two-week creative conversation. Inspired by Surrealist games of the early 20th century, the format challenges participants to improvise a spontaneous story. Trading turns back and forth, participants push the collaboration forward into ever-wilder imaginative terrain.

Here's how it works: Once paired, you and your collaborator will take turns — 7 each, 14 total — alternating between image and text. You'll be asked to submit a turn every other day. Each response should be spontaneous and original. No planning ahead or discussion of your collaboration.
